• Mission to village of Kawete, Uganda began in 2004 • CCLS-St. Louis became involved in 2009 • Goal of sharing spiritual, educational, nutritional, medical and economic development with the people of Kawete, Uganda • First school building completed in 2010 and school adopted name CCLS-Uganda • First group mission trip in November 2010 • First Medical Service provided in November 2010 • Currently 375 students from Preschool to Primary 7 • School compound has 2 classroom buildings, a multipurpose building, a girls’ dormitory, a boys' dormitory, a medical clinic, a kitchen with wood-burning stoves, a 5 acre garden, 2 borehole wells, and property fenced with security gate • Over 2,300 patients have been served during 11 Mission Trips • School has a full-time nurse on campus to care for children • 165 students are sponsored by supporters from all over the USA • Students from CCLS-St. Louis have corresponded with students of CCLS-Uganda • Lutheran Church of Uganda is active at the school and throughout the community • CCI participates in 2 Mission Trips annually to CCLS-Uganda • Boys’ Dormitory was dedicated during the fall 2016 trip
